Do Male Enhancement Gummies Work? An Honest Answer

Quick answer

We found no published trial of a finished male enhancement gummy, so nobody can say that one works. Some single ingredients have small human studies, but those used far larger amounts than a gummy blend can hold. A gummy is a food-form supplement, and the FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold.

The label lists an 82 mg blend per gummy, so each of nine ingredients gets a small share.

What the research can and cannot say

The honest answer is that nobody knows for a finished gummy, because we found no study of one.

Research on male enhancement supplements looks at single ingredients, usually as pills, powders or extracts. A review of ten common ingredients in erectile dysfunction supplements drew its conclusions from the literature on each ingredient, not from a branded gummy (Srivatsav 2020, Aphrodisiac ingredients review).

That matters when you shop for male enhancement supplement gummies. A study of an ingredient does not transfer to a product that holds a fraction of it. The FDA also states that it does not approve dietary supplements before they are marketed (FDA, Q&A on dietary supplements).

Searches for testosterone booster gummies work or not lead to the same gap. A review of 11 tribulus studies concluded the evidence did not support a testosterone effect (Qureshi 2014, Tribulus review).

The dose problem in plain numbers

A gummy has little room for active material. The Stallion Power label prints an 82 mg proprietary blend across nine ingredients, "equivalent to approximately 567 mg of dry powders". Federal rules require a proprietary blend to list ingredients in descending order by weight (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts).

Label ceilings per gummy compared with amounts used in research.
IngredientPlain ceiling per gummyAmount used in research
Muira puama82 mg1,000-1,500 mg of extract a day in one study (Drugs.com, Muira puama)
L-arginine11.7 mg3,000-5,000 mg a day in ED trials (Koolwal 2019, L-arginine and ED)
Ashwagandha13.7 mg150-600 mg per dose as typical product doses (NIH LiverTox, Ashwagandha)
Tribulus10.25 mgNo safe or effective dose set (MSK, Tribulus terrestris)

This is arithmetic on a printed label, not a lab result. It assumes the label follows the descending-order rule, and a real gummy can hold less. Even at the ceiling, the gap to studied amounts is large. See the supplement facts for the full line-by-line read.

Does the gummy form add any uncertainty?

It can. A 2023 JAMA analysis of 25 melatonin gummy products found measured amounts that did not match the label. Labeled melatonin ranged from 1.0 to 10 mg per serving, while measured amounts ranged from 1.3 to 13.1 mg (Cohen 2023, JAMA, Melatonin gummies). That was melatonin, not a male enhancement product, but it shows a gummy label is not a lab result.

Gummies also carry sugar: 3 g of added sugar per gummy here (Dietary Guidelines, Added sugars). For a side-by-side view of forms, read gummies vs capsules vs pills.

How to read the claims on the front

The front of the bottle says "BOOST PERFORMANCE†" and "SUPPORT CONFIDENCE†". These are structure and function style claims, which describe a role in the body and do not claim to treat disease (FDA, Structure/function claims). The FDA box on the label says the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Keep in mind

Some products sold for sexual enhancement have been found to contain hidden prescription drugs (NCCIH, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely). Keep taking prescribed medicine. If you use nitrates for chest pain, ask a doctor or pharmacist before any enhancement product.

  • Ask what was studied: the finished product or one ingredient.
  • Compare the studied amount with the label ceiling.

The benefits page sets each front claim next to the evidence we read.

Next step

If erections or low drive worry you, a doctor visit comes before any gummy. Many causes are treatable. If you still want to try one, read the label first.
