Gas Station Male Enhancement Pills: FDA Warnings
FDA has published notices for male enhancement products that held sildenafil and tadalafil without listing them. Those drugs can lower blood pressure to dangerous levels with nitrates. Our sources do not say how often gas stations stock such products, so treat any unlabeled counter pill as a risk and skip it.

What the FDA notices say
The risk is not the shop. It is a pill with no full label and a promise of fast results.
Gas station male enhancement pills often come in small foil packs with little label text. FDA laboratory analysis has found sildenafil and tadalafil, the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis, in products sold for sexual enhancement. A notice dated May 29, 2026 says the drugs were not listed on the label (FDA, X10 hidden-drug notice). Another, with conflicting dates on the page, was about a product found in international mail shipments (FDA, Wild Sexx hidden-drug notice). Both advise consumers not to buy or use the product (FDA, X10 hidden-drug notice) (FDA, Wild Sexx hidden-drug notice).
These are notices about named products. They do not say that every gas station pill holds a hidden drug, and our sources do not say where in a store such pills were found. They show a repeated pattern. We list more in our guide to tainted enhancement products.
| Notice | Date shown | Drugs found |
|---|---|---|
| X10 | May 29, 2026 | Sildenafil and tadalafil, not on the label (FDA, X10 hidden-drug notice) |
| Wild Sexx capsules | 10-23-2015 in the text | Sildenafil and tadalafil, not on the label (FDA, Wild Sexx hidden-drug notice) |
Why hidden drugs are dangerous
The undeclared drugs may interact with nitrates, such as nitroglycerin, and lower blood pressure to dangerous levels (FDA, X10 hidden-drug notice). People with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates (FDA, X10 hidden-drug notice). MedlinePlus says not to take sildenafil with nitrates for chest pain (MedlinePlus, Sildenafil).
Call emergency services for chest pain, fainting, an erection lasting longer than four hours, or sudden loss of vision or hearing (MedlinePlus, Sildenafil). Keep taking prescribed medicine and tell the doctor what you took.
The NIH adds that some products marketed for sexual enhancement may contain prescription drugs not allowed in supplements (NCCIH, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely).
A five-second check at the counter
- Find the Supplement Facts panel. No panel, no purchase.
- Find a distributor with a place. A name and a town, not just a brand.
- Look for drug names. Packaging that compares itself with a prescription drug is a warning sign.
- Look at the seal. Broken or missing, leave it.
- Ask a doctor first. Especially if you use nitrates.
A short note on Canada: searches for male enhancement supplements canada show the same worry. We have no source on Canadian rules, so the checks above are all we offer.

See packsHow Stallion Power differs on paper
Stallion Power prints a full panel: 1 gummy, 30 servings, an 82 mg blend of nine named items, and a distributor line for Pinellas Park, FL. We found nothing showing it holds hidden drugs. We also cannot claim it does not, because we hold no lab report. That is why we point readers to the batch verify page and the official sales page, not to a counter.
Next step: skip any counter pill with no full label, and ask your doctor about what you do use.
FAQ01
Stallion Power questions people ask
Are gas station pills illegal?
We have no source that says so, and we state no legal rule. What we can say is that FDA has found undeclared prescription drugs in products sold for sexual enhancement (FDA, X10 hidden-drug notice).
How do I report a bad product?
FDA's notices point to its MedWatch system for adverse events (FDA, X10 hidden-drug notice). Keep the package and note the lot code.
