PrimeZen Black 6000 Recall: Hidden Drugs in Capsules

Quick answer

Volt Candy of Pomona, California recalled PrimeZen Black 6000 gel capsules on February 14, 2023, after sildenafil and tadalafil were found. The capsules were sold as a dietary supplement. Reports say affected packages carry an August 2025 expiry, and the drugs can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure with nitrates.

The recall facts

Two prescription drugs turned up in a capsule sold as a supplement.

Our source is a UPI news report of the FDA notice, dated February 14, 2023. We did not open the FDA page itself. We state only what the report says, and we say so where it is silent.

Why the finding is serious

Sildenafil and tadalafil are prescription drugs for erectile dysfunction. The report says they can interact with nitrates and cause a life-threatening drop in blood pressure. MedlinePlus gives the same direction for sildenafil: do not take it with nitrates used for chest pain, such as nitroglycerin (MedlinePlus, Sildenafil).

FDA has posted the same kind of finding for other products. A May 29, 2026 notice says lab analysis found sildenafil and tadalafil that were not listed on the label of a different product, and says people with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates (FDA, X10 hidden-drug notice).

Chest pain, fainting, an erection that lasts more than four hours, or sudden vision or hearing loss needs emergency care. If you took a recalled product, tell your doctor which one.

What a recall teaches about labels

A supplement label is a claim. FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they are marketed (FDA, Q&A on dietary supplements). So a clean-looking panel does not prove what is in the capsule. The only proof is a lab result for that lot, and we hold none for Stallion Power. The seller references lot SP-26/GO-7248 and CoA SP-7248-26-GO are not lab proof, and we have not seen the certificate. See our testing and quality page.

The NCCIH makes the same point: products marketed for sexual enhancement may contain prescription drugs not listed on the label (NCCIH, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely).

What to do

  1. Check your bottle against the name and expiry above. If it matches, stop using it.
  2. Follow the recall advice. The report says to return it to the company. Keep the packaging.
  3. Tell your doctor or pharmacist. Name every product you took, including supplements.
  4. Report problems to MedWatch. It is FDA's adverse event program.

Stallion Power is a gummy, not a gel capsule. We found no source showing hidden drugs in it. Read tainted enhancement products for more cases.

Next step. Keep taking prescribed medicine. Ask a doctor before adding any enhancement product, especially if you use nitrates.
